Open water divers
The PADI Open Water Diver course typically includes the following content:
-
Theoretical learning: Students will learn basic knowledge about diving, including diving physics, diving equipment, diving safety rules, underwater biology, etc. This part of the content can be completed through classroom teaching, online learn
ing, or textbook reading. -
Swimming pool training: Students will conduct a series of diving skills exercises in the swimming pool or similar controlled water areas, such as mask water, cylinder water removal, air source sharing, floating control, etc. These exercises aim to help students become familiar with and master the necessary skills in underwater environments.
-
Open Water Diving: After completing pool training, students will perform 4 open water dives to apply the skills learned in the pool to a real diving environment
-
Knowledge assessment: Students need to pass knowledge exams to verify their mastery of diving knowledge. This exam usually includes multiple-choice questions and theoretical questions related to the course content.
After completing the PADI Open Water Diver course, students will receive PADI's Open Water Diver certification, which qualifies them for diving activities in different open water environments. This course lays a solid foundation for those who want to further develop their diving skills and experience, and is also the first step to becoming a qualified diver.
